Inquiry into Energy Policy and Planning in Wales

EPP 61 – Roger Goff

IT has been proven that the figures regarding the efficiency of land based wind farms is seriously flawed. The first country to erect wind farms was Denmark, which is now dismantling their wind farms because they are too inefficient.
To blight our pristine countryside with flawed technology is an act of total vandalism, and I suspect that when this is proven by use, then they will be abandoned and local citizens will have to pay yet again to have them removed.
I regularly travel through Scotland where there are plenty of wind farms and at least 50% of the time the windmills are still, if there is not enough wind in Scotland how can there be enough in Mid-Wales.
